Thursday In The Garden

Mum

We have spoken to the spiders in the garden. They have requested that you stop putting your face where they build their webs. It is becoming tiresome.

Happy Cat Award

The very beautiful Elin over at Cute Cat Elin has tagged me with this pawsome award. I'm not what you would call a happy cat, but I will try my best.
The rules for this award are pretty easy.
  1. Link back to the blog that has given you the award
  2. List five things that make you happy
  3. Pass it on to six other cat blogs

Five things that make me happy are:-

1. My family - with out them I suspect that I would be a feral, cold and hungry cat with a serious nip and mouse habit.

2. My huge stock of Nip Narnas and other assorted nip toys

3. Sunbeams and Sun Puddles. Nothing like the feel of the sun's rays on your furs to make you feel happy.

4. Being Top Cat around here makes me happy. I am always ready with a well placed smacky paw if the need calls for it. Got to keep the young ones in line.

5. Blogging and all my blogging friends

I know that a lot of our freinds have already had this award. So I would like to pass it on to anyone who would like to play.

Friday Feminine Feline Touches

I am upset, irked if you will. Why? Why am I irked, you ask. This is the reason for my irkedness.

That is my bed. My manly cardboard box bed, with it's manly blue hairy blanket from Peggy.

There is my manly orange tiger and manly green fuzzy mouse in my manly cardboard box bed, with its manly blue blanket. But something wrong.

What is THAT!?! A pink cushion!

Pink is NOT manly and has no place in my manly cardboard box bed, with it's manly blue blanket, manly orange Tiger and manly green fuzzy mouse.

Femmes and their feminine touches.

9-11 Never Forget

We will remember them.

Mum cannot believe it is 9 years ago that the awful events of 9-11 happened. In some ways it feels like it only happened yesterday and in some ways it feels like it happened a life time ago.

Mum can remember the day it happened vividly. She was at home with Pre-Teen Bean who was then only 3 years old. Her mum phoned her from work and told her people were saying that a plane had hit the World Trade Centre. Mum told her mum not to be so silly, but turned the news on anyway, just in time to see the second plane hit. It was then everyone here realised that it was not an accident.

At that time Mum lived under the major flight route to Heathrow Airport and only a few minutes from Windsor and Windsor Castle. All planes were grounded and fighter jets scrambled to protect Windsor Castle. Mum will never forget the eerie silence that followed.

Today our thoughts and prayers are will all the innocent people who lost their lives and their friends and families who continue to live their own personal hell.

Mo Cats Day 2010

Last years some silly misguided human announced that 09/09 would forevermore be 'No Cats Day' on the internets. Obviously a cat hater!

So we of The Cat Blogosphere, lead by the wonderful Derby of Derby and Ducky fame, decided that henceforth 09/09 should forevermore be 'Mo' Cats Day'. A day dedicated to cat on the internets a day where cats, take over the WULRD!

Wordy Wednesday - Goodbye Sweet Honey

Yesterday a little before 5:00pm our friend Honey Rabbit passed away. It wasn't a shock or a surprise as Honey was in the later years of her life.

Honey experiencing snow for the first when it took us by surprise in December 2009.
I hadn't even manged to get any weatherproofing up before it fell. However Honey and her sister Mustard loved it.

We came by Honey and her sister when our old neighbours' rabbits had unexpected babies (they were told their rabbits were both girls, they weren't). Originally they were welcome into the family as their children's pets. But as such things are with children, the excitement wore off and the main care was left to mum.

Honey used to help mum when she cleaned out their hutch and run by biting the ends of her trousers, shoes and laces.

We will all miss Honey. We hope she's hopping free over the rainbow bridge waiting for us.

Anipal Photo Hunt - My Bed

This week's theme for the Anipal Photo Hunt is 'My Bed'.

We have several very comfortable cat beds dotted about the house, however we have never slept in a single one of them. In stead we prefer to sleep........

On the big bed,
(Charlie O'Marley)

in a drawer

and on the sofa.

So there you have it, all our favourite places to sleep, none of which are a cat beds.

Super Sneeky Sunday - Whodunnit?

Whodunnit?

We're all remaining tight lipped. Mum should really remember to put the rubbish out before going to bed.

Thomas O'Toole, Charlie O'Marley and Lola Fannola x

P.S. Mum is beginning to think that the big fight with Lola may be redirected agression as suggested. It seems that Charlie takes things out on Lola when he has disagreement with Thomas or another cat in the area. Generally things seem to bump along nicely, but Mum will be putting some calming measures in place.

Saturday 4 September 2010

Surly Saturday

Do I look happy? Do I? No. No I do not.

Would you like to know the reason why I do not look at all happy?

Charlie O'Marley. My big brother. He's older then me by four weeks and he seems to think that gives him the right to boss me about.

There has been loads of dirty looks and hisses exchanged recently, but it all came to a head yesterday when my big brute of a brother chased me round the house, managed to corner me in dad's wardrobe and gave me the smackypawing of my life.

Teeth, claws and fur were flying everywhere and we were both shouting some rather rude words at each other. Eventually mum managed to break up the fight and separate us. Charlie was told off and remained in the dog house for the rest of the day.

Mum cannot understand why relations between us have suddenly broken down. We used to play and snuggle together as kittens, Mum has photographic proof!

Anyway Mum is hoping to address the situation, maybe that means she's going to sell Charlie.

What!?! A girl can dream, can't she?

See. That was easy wasn't it?

Our all time favourite toy, the one we come to blows over the most is our Plague Ratsie. We won this Ratise as part of a giveway on our good friends Eric and Flynn's blog.
