Mancat Monday
Every Mancat knows, that staying in bed is a fine art!
First one must select the correct bed to 'stay' in. A bed previously vacated by its human occupant is always a good place to start. These beds tend to remain warm and cosy throughout the day.
If you cannot find a recently vacated bed, then an unmade bed will suffice. Of course you are to resist all attempts made by your human to remove you so they can make the bed. This can be accomplished by looking exceedingly cute. However, in the unlikely event that your cuteness should fail, one is permitted to hiss, spit, growl, scratch and bite, though not necessarily in that order. Clinging to the bed covers may also be effective.
Most of all, enjoy your nap.

A good list of tactics, Spider and Smudge use the cute one all the time and it works a treat.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, stealing the warm spot in the bed is great! I like to do it if Momma gets up during the night....then she has to sleep on the cold side of the bed!
ReplyDeletei LOVE bed! -hansel
ReplyDeleteOh yes, a recently vacated bed is the best!
ReplyDeleteThat's the *best* spot for a nap!
ReplyDeleteWe were rudely kicked out of bed this morning. Mom claims she was just stretching but we know better. ~Artemisia & Socks
ReplyDeleteGreat tips, Thomas! We like the freshly vacated bed because of the warmth from the human's body!
ReplyDeleteThomas, you certainly look exceedingly cute there, so we think you're going to be fine. You look very comfy, too! We'll be right over for a big ol' nap pile. (The Mommy says she wants to come too! MOL)
ReplyDeletePurrs and hugs,

PAWesome tips!!! If we don't get to moms bed in time, and it's already made, we burrow under the blankets!
ReplyDeleteWe spend most of the day on mamabug's bed......just a hop, skip and jump from where she does the computing. She's such a softie that lotza times the bed doesn't get made very well ......cuz she doesn't want to disturb her darlin' boys. :) We like it best when there's a tumble of covers to lay partially on and partially off....they are our pillows. :) Do we have her trained or what???????

ReplyDeletepurrrrrs, your bud Pepi
Beds still warm from the Beans are the best. Sometimes mum carefully makes the bed around me so she doesn't disturb me.As soon as she has finished, I jump down.

The mancat bed napping must in all mancat genes because hendrix seems to have mastered this as well...especially the clinging to the blankets part!
ReplyDeleteYou look very comfy!
Those are some very good tips! We're gonna try them:)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, we are experts in causing trouble when mama tries to make the bed. We like to jump in the middle and spat her everytime she makes a move. Then there is always the fun of sneaking under the covers while she is not looking.
ReplyDeleteWe hope you have very nice naps.
