Of course we listen to her every word and then chose to ignore them. We have even been known to shoot lasers at her while we're ignoring her every word.
Punishment for breaking this one and only rule is as follows.
Mum performs a strange dance with lots of wailing and arm waving. She then starts clapping her hands and making 'psst, psst' noises. We have been known to ignore this as well.

So here are 7 things about us
1. Shen broke his leg when he was a four month old puppy. This was before our (the cats) time, but we're told the he did it jumping off the sofa whilst playing with a toy. Apparently a very common way for puppies to break their legs. Shen is all fine now, but has been left with a fear of the vets.
2. Despite Charlie being the fattest of the group he is the fussiest eater. Mum has cut his food down, but suspects a neighbour may be feeding him. They must have pretty poor eyesight if they think Charlie is starving and in need of food!
3. Thomas really loves fresh catmint, he goes wild for it. However it doesn't seem to have any effect on the other two
4. Lola loves having her photo taken and will run over to Mum whenever she gets her camera out
5. There was only supposed to be two cats in our home after Dad said that Mum could get Charlie for her birthday. However Dad came across Lola while searching on Freecycle.org for paving slabs. She came to us as a completely feral kitten and the rest they say is history.
6. Mum started blogging after somebody put a like up to a cat's blog on a parenting forum she belongs to. Mum thought, I could do that! again the rest is history.
7. Mum has a niece doggy. A chocolate Labrador called Holly. She's Shen's best friend and sometimes stays over for a week or two.
We hope we having bored you to much.
We know that several of our friends both old and new have already received this award, so we would like to make it available to any of our friends, both old and new, who wish to take it.

Maggy and Zoey from Zoolatry need our purrs and prayers for their Poppy.
Sniffie from Friends Furever has a lump that requires surgery. We purring very hard that the lump isn't anything sinister!
Shaggy from Little Cat Feet isn't feeling very well and has stopped eating! We need to purr that he feels better and starts eating soon.
Chey from The Cat Post Intelligencer is very sick and has stopped eating as well. We all need to purr hard so that she can get better soon.
We hope all our friends feel better soon. It makes us very sad when you're friends are sick or worried about their loved ones.

These little fellows and we do mean little, they have a wing span of 10-15 millimetres, are called Mint Moths or Pyrausta aurata. They are a type of moth called Day Moths, meaning that they are active during the day rather then nocturnal like most moths.
As the name suggests, the Mint moth often uses mint as a food plant, though it can also be found on other species such as marjoram. In north-west Europe it can be seen from April until the end of September. We feel especially lucky to have them in our garden as we live in the South East of England, not exactly the North West of Europe.
Please don't forget to visit our other gardening furiends and find out what they have been up to.

**An update on the Mum.**
I went to the hospital yesterday only to find out the appointment was to see a dermatologist for assessment before a further referral to have the mole removed. However when the dermatologist examined the mole she said she was not at all happy with it and it needed to be removed a.s.a.p as it's colour was ringing alarm bells. She asked if I had come to the hospital on my own or driven myself. When I said that my mother had brought me to the hospital she decided to do it there and then.
I didn't feel a thing, not even the anaesthetic injection. This could have been due to the extra layers of fat I had put on in that general area over the winter or the fact the dermatologist and her nurse asked me about my cats.
I now have the keep the area dry and clean for two weeks with instructions not the stretch the area or do any exercise. After two weeks the stitches will be removed and then I will get an appointment to get the results. The dermatologist did say that even if the news is bad I have had the best treatment available, it's removal and she is confident if it is anything we have caught it early enough.
Thank you all for your purrs and positive vibes! xxx
