Frightened Feline Femme Friday
Dear furiends,
I have something truly terrifying to tell you. Yesterday I was sitting in the front garden, snoopervising mum watering the plants and the general to-ing and fro-ing of the street when.
No, it's too difficult to talk about, I simply cannot say anymore!
Okay, if you insist, I believe I can find the strength to continue.
As I said I was snoopervising in the front garden when two huge and ugly human men came up to the fence and started, this may be difficult for you to hear friends, started to TALK to me!
They began by telling me how pretty I was and what a lovely colour my furs are, then the kissy noises started. I have heard tales about these sorts of humans before. They, this pains me to say it furiends, they befriend pretty little cats so that they can steal them and then turn them into FUR COATS!
Well, I was not about to become somebody's fur coat so I ranned as fast and my legs would carry me and I hid, hid behind my mum and she went over and scared the evil men away!
It was only because of my quick thinking furiends that I am here to tell the tale.
Lola Fannola x
**The Mum here, the two evil men were my 92 year old neighbour, Arthur from across the street and his son. Arthur is a huge cat lover but due to his age can no longer keep them, so he likes to 'share' my cats. Lola being formally feral is very mistrustful of all people not in her family and makes a habit of running away from anyone she doesn't know. Not a bad habit to have really. This post is a funny story based on her point of view. I can promise you there are no evil cat stealing coat making men here!**

Lola, you are a silly sweetheart!...We are so glad you ran away and got to keep your beautiful furs...Happy Friday lovely friends...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteWell, Lola, it's a good thing to be careful who you talk to burt perhaps next time, you can consult with your mummy first and make sure it's OK?
ReplyDeleteOh Lola always be aware of stranger danger but if you know them it's normally ok.
ReplyDeleteThe only men that should be smooching up to you is US my dear. You made the right call.
ReplyDeleteLola,
ReplyDeleteIt's Alice here. I TOTALLY understand! I've been telling Momma about the coat making men (CMM) but she won't believe me. So I have to hide behind the washing machine whenever anyone comes near. And I can't go Outside without the door being left open for a quick escape inside. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
Lola, I am glad you are safe--and I woulda saved you from the scary men--I'm glad your mom took care of it. YOu can't be too safe, you know!
ReplyDeleteNoir
PS. You're pretty.
We are so glad you managed to escape the evil men, Lola! Your gorgeous fur needs to be protected!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you lived to tell the tale!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
That sounds scary. The only strange people who talk to us are our Mom and Dad!
ReplyDeleteSniffie and the Florida Furkids
Lola, what a scary ordeal! We're glad you had the good sense to run back to your mum, because in spite of her explanation, there are far too many humans in this world who would do unspeakable things to beautiful kitties.
ReplyDeleteKim here: I can just imagine this sweet, elderly gentleman wanting to give Lola a pat or two, but her zooming off. He needs someone to visit him with a therapy cat in tow! :-)
Be careful - its when they start pulling out bags of Friskies to entice you that you need to yowl "Stranger Danger!!!"....
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Lola, it is a very good thing you run, run, runned away!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute post!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteQuick thinking sweet Lola.......we would never want to see you made into a coat!!!!!
xxxxxxxxxxxx
Hmm.... I don't know about that. I do not think I would like to talk to different folks either...
ReplyDeleteLola, you were so brave and smart to run to your Mom.
ReplyDeleteHoly GEEZ~!!! THAT is scary!!! Skeeter is the only one that doesn't like strange people talking to her. The rest of us hope that strangers give us NOMS~!!! Glad to hear your mom saved the day!
ReplyDeleteLola, Since I have such a nice coat too I have to be constantly vigalant, just like you. So I hide in the darkest places I can find whenever the doorbell rings. Even when it's the doorbell on TV. You just never know!
ReplyDelete~Johnny
pee ess from Mommy: I was relieved to hear that your mole is GONE and off for biopsy. LOL about the "fat layers"...
Fingers crossed for a good outcome.
Poor Lola! I'm glad you survived to tell the tale.
ReplyDeleteOh Lola we are sorry you were so scared! But we think maybe if you were braver it could be ok, but just with those guys. See, old guys dont' always make kitty coats, but usually old guys are super nice and give scritches - and maybe even treats!
ReplyDeleteLola that is a great story and we are so glad that you got away from those men. We hate strangers too and we run like crazy when anyone comes in our yard. We sure wouldn't want you to be a fur coat for anyone. We understand perfectly because we are feral kitties too. Great post Mom
ReplyDeleteWell Lola, we are glad your Mom was out there to help protect you. Better safe than sorry.....;)
ReplyDeleteLola ~ My Lilly Ann would have done the same thing. She was a used to be feral too and only trusted me.
ReplyDeleteOh Lola. It would have been terrible if they stole your pretty furs. I don't like strangers either. I would have run away, too.
ReplyDeleteLola
ReplyDeleteMy sisfur Gracie who is also formerly feral and had a bad street life before being adopted in the ManxMnews house is a lot like you. She doesn't trust any other hooman other than Mom and Dad. She runs and hides until strangers are gone. She is very fearful. But we know it's because of her former life, she had to be quick to survive.

Well, it can't hurt to be extra careful now, can it, Lola? We think your furs are beautiful, so we are glad you are safe, and that your mommy was there to protect you. :)
ReplyDeleteLola we wouldn't want to be de-furred either. We are glad that you are on the lookout for such evil people.
ReplyDeleteWe were glad to hear that this was just Lola's point of view. Thank goodness!!! Lola is really beautiful.
