We're back and slightly frozen!

This is what the inside of our house currently looks like. Well, maybe that's an over exaggeration on our part, but it feels like it should look like that.

You see the big noisy thing that heats the water and house has broken down. Mum bean called out the Housing, but the heating thing is as dead as last week's crunchy spider. So we've been busy trying to keep warm and toasty while we wait for the parts needed for the repair to come in.

Mum bean has a few fan heaters and there's plenty of cosy beds and blankets about the place. But it's not the same as having a snugly warm home. We have been cosying up in the evenings with Mum and Dad bean in front of the heater and finding warm places like on top of the DVD player during the day.

Mum bean has also been taking toddler bean out to places like the Library and Toddler Groups at local churches as they still have heating. Due to some sort of massive oversight, kitties, woofies and fevvers are not allowed in such places so we have had to stay home.

Yesterday we got the news that the big noisy thing should be fixed tomorrow morning, as it's going to be a huge job likely to take up the whole morning we're going to make ourselves scarce.

We apologise for the lack of blog updates and visits over the last few days, but not much has been going on here except sleeping and trying to keep warm. Hopefully afater tomorrow morning normal service will be resumed and we can start catching up with everyone!

Chillingly yours

  2. Why do furnaces always go out when it's cold ?

Mine went out two years ago. Took three days for the guys to get here and we had to buy a new one.

  5. Snuggle up and stay warm. Mom had a guy out to check ours yesterday. Mom locked us in bedrooms so we did not get to help him. Kirby sat by the air intake vent and talked to hon, loudly. Mom thinks he was amused!

  10. Oh I hope your furnace is fixed soon so it gets warm there - we had that happen once and it was terrible! I am not surprised that it is quiet there with no heat - no heat makes everything slow down!
