Treacherous Tuesday

We have some disturbing news.

It seems that our mum, the mum who had swore to love and care for us our every waking hour, has been fraternising with other cats.

Here is the undeniable, photographic evidence!

This MUST be stopped!

Silly Sunday

Mum bean came across this on a forum and thought her cat blogging friends would enjoy it too.

BATHROOMS - Always accompany guests to the bathroom. It is not necessary to do anything. Just sit & stare.

DOORS - Do not allow any closed doors ... in any room. To get the door open, stand on hind legs & hammer with forepaws. Once door is opened, it's not necessary to use it. After you have ordered an outside door opened, stand half-way in & out & think about several things. This is particularly important during very cold weather, rain, snow, or mosquito season.

CHAIRS AND RUGS - If you have to throw up get to a white chair quickly. If you cannot manage in time, get to an Oriental rug. If there is no Oriental rug, shag is good. When throwing up on the carpet, make sure you back up while barfing so it's as long as a human's bare foot.

HAMPERING - If one of your humans is engaged in any activity, and the other is idle, stay with the busy one. This is called helping, otherwise known as hampering. Following are the rules for hampering: When supervising cooking, sit just behind the left heel of the cook. You cannot be seen and thereby stand a better chance of being stepped on and then picked up and comforted. For book readers, get in close under the chin, between eyes and book -- unless you can lie across the book itself. When human is working at a Computer, desk, walk across keyboard, bat at mouse pointer on screen, and then lay in human's lap across arms, hampering typing in progress.

WALKING - As often as possible, dart quickly & as close as possible in front of the human, especially on stairs, when they have something in their arms, in the dark & when they first get up in the morning. This will help them practice their co-ordination skills.

BEDTIME - Always sleep on the human at night so they cannot move around.

LITTER BOX - When using the litter box, be sure to kick as much litter out of the box as possible. Humans love the feel of Kitty Litter between their toes.

HIDING - Every now and then, hide in a place where the humans cannot find you and do NOT come out for 3 to 4 hours under any circumstances. This will cause the humans to panic (which they love) thinking that you have run away or are lost. Once you do come out. . . The humans will cover you with love & kisses, and you probably will get a treat.

ONE LAST THOUGHT - Whenever possible, get close to a human, especially their face, then turn around and present your butt to them. - - humans love this, so do it often!

Wear your crown with pride!

Yesterday I received this wonderful Island Princess Award from Sassy over at The Kitty Krew.

To be an Island Princess you have to wear your crown with pride and that just what I am going to do!

I know that many fabulous lady cats have already received this award, so I would like to pass it on to any of my lady cat friends who have yet to receive it. And remember girls, wear your crown with pride!

Thankful Thursday - Surprise Package!

Yesterday a surprise package turned up in the post. It was such a surprise that mum bean almost told the Postman he must have the wrong address (we always get other people's post by mistake).

It was a blankie and a toy from our good furiends over at Peggy's Place. Thank you! They sent it over to us to help us keep warm as we've been experiencing difficulties with our heating lately. Paws crossed, everything seems to be working now.

Is it for me?

What's in the box?

There's something interesting in there!

Lots of sniffy smells!

Toddlerbean joins in the fun!

TOY!

Lola decides to join us

Everyone except Thomas, he was out and about.

I claim this blankie as my own!

Trip Up Tuesday!

Cool Jack-o-lantern, huh?

As the days grow shorter and the nights colder, we have been forced to entertain ourselves in doors. Unfortunately due to the nature of 'in doors' there are very little hunting, prowling and pouncing opportunities to be had. But we believe that we have found away around this minor inconvenience.

A great new game called Trip Up. The object and rules of the game are simple enough. It involves tearing around the house at break neck speed. Points are earned by 'tripping up' or knocking down your humans. Points are also dependant on the type of 'trip up', injury caused, noise the human emits at the point of impact and of course the vulnerability of your chosen target.

For example more points will be awarded for knocking down smaller humans, humans at the top of stairs and of course humans currently transporting valuable goods (should these goods be noms then you're on to a winner).

Participants should also avoid capture during play, should you be caught and ejected from the building then you're effectively 'out' of the game. The use of teefs and claws are not permitted, except in extreme circumstances.

We hope you enjoy playing Trip Up and you have a great Tuesday!

Mancat (in training) Monday

As I am now over 7 months old my Mancat training should start in earnest.

Any Mancat (in training) worth his whiskers knows that you have to, at times get in touch with your Shecat feminine feline side. Even if it does involve reclining on a pink throw surrounded with cuddly toys. Notice if you will, how I still keep my manly and mysterious air about myself. Only a true professional can achieve this in a pink room and of course October is Think Pink Month for Breast Cancer Awareness. Every Mancat should have a cause close to his heart.

I hear the lady cats really dig the new sensitive Mancat about town.

Not So Shivery Saturday

We're happy to report that our heating is now working and everything is toasty warm. There was a worrying moment when the heating shut off and mum bean had to reset the boiler, but everything seems to be working fine now.

We have another award so show you all, the Showing Some Love Award.

This one comes from our good furiend Ginger Jasper. We would like to show some love and pass this award onto all our blogging friends!

Also today a small packet came in the post and even though it didn't smell of nip or noms, mum said it was for us. It contained our new brass identity tags which have our names, telephone number and our v-e-t-s number on just in case. They look very fetching hanging from our collars and now mum feels so much better about us being out and about, knowing that if we do get lost or there's an emergency she can be contacted. We're all microchipped, but mum bean feels better that we have some form of ID tag on us at all times.

Speaking of being out and about, do you remember when that mysterious kitty portal to the outside world appeared in our backdoor?

Well, Thomas has learnt how to go out through the kitty portal, but as of yet hasn't figured out how to get in. We'll keep you posted!

Finally Friday

We honestly didn't think this day would get here.

Guess what?

The heating still isn't mended! Yesterday the fix it man was here from 09:30am until 18:30pm. At one point there where three fix it men looking at the heating thing and scratching their heads.

Turns out they managed to fix the boiler which heats the house, but it is now leaking dangerous amounts of CO or Carbon Monoxide. This is very very dangerous so the boiler has been shut off and another fix it man will be coming round at some point today to fix it (hopefully). Today it is sunny and a bit warmer so we're not noticing the lack of heating as much.

We got this wonderful stamp from our good friends over at Cats 4 Meows and Boo-Bah's Little Sunshines, thank you so much guys!

Lola here. I have some distressing news, recently dad bean has started calling me 'Fat Cat.' Not only does he call me this, but he also makes up songs about how fat I supposedly am. His most recent offering, whilst I was trying to climb up onto the back of the sofa was, 'Spidercat, Spidercat. Too fat to get up that!' Honestly!

I am not fat, I simply have extremely baggy furs that makes me look that way. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Of course it has nothing to do with the fact that mum bean secretly feeds me hams and chicken when no one is looking.

Thankfull Thursday

Isn't the above spooky picture pawsome? We came across it while browsing the internets!

We would like to thank all our blogging friends, both kitty and bean for sending us warm wishes and the many invitations for snuggles.

We can now report that two men appeared at around 9:30 am here and they have been banging and clanging the noisy heating thing. They're still here and have had to leave a few time for more parts. Still no heating yet, but hopefully we will have something else to be thankful for this Thursday.

We have had many requests for some videos of Izzy Whizz talking. Trouble is Izzy is rather camera shy. In the first video recorded a few months back mum bean had to hide around the corner and film the floor. Izzy is getting braver however and managed to talk while being filmed in the next two videos, although she doesn't say much. See how many things Izzy says that you can understand

If the video doesn't load, please watch it here.

We're back and slightly frozen!

This is what the inside of our house currently looks like. Well, maybe that's an over exaggeration on our part, but it feels like it should look like that.

You see the big noisy thing that heats the water and house has broken down. Mum bean called out the Housing, but the heating thing is as dead as last week's crunchy spider. So we've been busy trying to keep warm and toasty while we wait for the parts needed for the repair to come in.

Mum bean has a few fan heaters and there's plenty of cosy beds and blankets about the place. But it's not the same as having a snugly warm home. We have been cosying up in the evenings with Mum and Dad bean in front of the heater and finding warm places like on top of the DVD player during the day.

Mum bean has also been taking toddler bean out to places like the Library and Toddler Groups at local churches as they still have heating. Due to some sort of massive oversight, kitties, woofies and fevvers are not allowed in such places so we have had to stay home.

Yesterday we got the news that the big noisy thing should be fixed tomorrow morning, as it's going to be a huge job likely to take up the whole morning we're going to make ourselves scarce.

We apologise for the lack of blog updates and visits over the last few days, but not much has been going on here except sleeping and trying to keep warm. Hopefully afater tomorrow morning normal service will be resumed and we can start catching up with everyone!

Chillingly yours

Talkative Tuesday

Finally, I get a chance to blog.

I have noticed that many of you kitty cats and human slave people have been asking my human slave person if I have the ability to talk. Well, yes, tes I do. In fact I speak human so well that I am able to actually converse with my human slaves.

I have found this to be extremely useful when obtaining what I want. Which is everything!

I am able to say;

Hello
Hi
Speaking
Izzy
Hello Chicken
I'm a chicken
You're a chicken
Yeah
Yes
Okay
Thank you
Oooh
No
Leave it!
It's not yours!
Be nice
Don't bite
I will BITE you!
Hmm
Shut up!
All right
All right chicken?
All right then
You all right there?
How should I know?
I know, I know!
C'mon then
I'm hungry, I'd like some chicken
See ya

What you doing?
What you doing sweetie?
What you doing chicken?
What you doing Amy? (youngest daughter)
What do you want?

Shen (dog)
Shen off
Shen out!
Smelly dog
Stinky bum
Good girl
Change your bum
Time for bed
3,2,1
Do you want your ba ba? (Amy's bottle)
Drink your ba ba
Orange
Do you want some orange?
I want some orange
Do you need a wee wee?
Gis us a kiss Mwah
I can't get out!
You're a narna
Nutter!
Upsy Daisy, Daisy DOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Iggle Piggle
Maka Paka
Don't be too long
Be careful!
Are you in there?
Where's your neigh neigh (Amy's my little pony)
You'll hurt yourself!
Let's go on a Zeeeeeeeeeebra ride!
What's wrong?

Nikki! Nikki!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOH NOOOOOOOOOOOO
What's that noise?
I can't hear anything
What's that smell
Nicola!
Charlie
Charlie Boy
You're a cheeky bum
Aye aye aye

I also have the ability to copy many of the household noises I hear on a daily basis. I can ring like all three telephones that are here.

As you can see I am a very talented bird.

Missy Moo on the other hand doesn't say anything. My human slave says this is because he cannot get a word in edgewise. I am not sure I know what she means.

Izzy Whizz x

And now some words from Human Slave person.

Thomas O'Toole is a odd cat, something we have put down to poor socialisation as a kitten. He rarely plays with cat toys. If you attempt to get him to play he will look at you is if you're crazy and then stalk off.

On those rare occasions I actually catch him playing with something he immediately stops and then looks very embarrassed and annoyed.

Unfortunately the other day I disturbed him whilst he was playing in the tunnel. I thought it was Charlie in there!

Mancat Monday

No, I am not playing in this tunnel. Manly mancats do not play like little kitties.

I am attempting to find a place to nap and you are disturbing me!

Going Pink for Boobies in October!

Mr O'Toole would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in aid of boobies everywhere.

Mr O'Toole isn't in the possession of any 'boobies', but feels this is a worthy cause as boobies are perfect for the act of snuggling.

Mr O'Toole hopes that you will join him in the support of this month by going pink and donating whatever you can whenever you can in which ever way you choose.

Mr O'Toole thanks you.

Thursday Smackdown and other things

We just thought that everyone would like to see just how our bathing session ended yesterday. In the usual way - Smackdown!

Sorry about the video quality, mum bean is still learning!

Also we would like to show you a picture that pre-teen bean drew of us at school. Ana (pre-teen bean) is 11 years old and sufferers from a developmental condition called Autism. She goes to a special school and is doing really well. One of her favourite subjects is art and as you can see she's very good at it. She's also very good at playing with the fevver boa toy! Ana asked especially if her picture could be featured on our blog.
