Today is National Kids and Pets Day, probably not for us being that we're in the UK. But who could pass up the opportunity to celebrate such a fantastic day? Not us!
So you ask, why should pets have their very own kids? The answer is simple really, because they're fun, fun, fun. Not only do they present endless play opportunities, but they are also very handy to have around when you need to pass the blame of some misdeed or other. Invaluable I am sure you will agree.
Personally we have two of our own kids at home and over the years we have grown very attached to them, but it is important to remember to train your kid. After all, a trained kid is a happy kid. The main areas that kids should be training in is treat giving, petting and playing. The latter can be especially fun for both kitties and doggies, kids can be trained to play a large variety of games, including but not exclusive to; ball throwing, wand waving and red dot pointing.
It is also a well known fact that kids make excellent bed warmers, so be sure to snuggle close. Unfortunately due to their erratic nature they do not make the best lap sitters, this does tend to improve with age and the amount of mind rotting TV and video games made available to your kid.
It's not all sweetness and light however, if you're unfortunate enough to have come into possession of a defective kid they have a few technical issues, such as tail pulling and petting in the wrong direction! There are two courses available to you to remedy this. Scratch and bite! Although general avoidance is recommended.
So there you have it, here at The Paw Relations we feel that the benefits of owning a kid far outweigh the drawbacks. So don't delay, get yourself a kid today!
