Almost Wordless Wednesday

Lola Fannola

And now for the wordy bit

Asha aka Princess, a very beautiful meezer lady cat over at Beloved Pets gave us this fantastic award. Beloved Pets is a wonderful blog that gives hints and tips on animal and pet care, if your human is anything like ours this this blog is a godsend.

Be sure to stop by and say hello to Asha.

We apologise again for the lack of visits to other blogs, unfortunately due to the very hot weather here mum has her work cut out keeping everyone here cool and comfortable as well watering all the garden plants and applying sun screen to the mini beans at regular intervals. Pathetic excuse really, this will be noted for her next Purr-Fur-Mence Review

Mad Dog Monday!

Well not mad maybe, slightly ticked off. Yesterday was a lovely day, beautiful weather with temperatures reaching 81 F. So like any self respecting dog I decided to sit out in the blazing sun to pant for a bit. I of course ignored all of my mum's attempts to get me to either sit in the shade or come into the cool of the house. That's when it happened.

She got my lead from the hook and I thought I was in for a walk. She slipped it over my head and then tied it to the gate. Before I knew what was going on the hose and the dog shampoo came out. I howled and howled for help, but no body came! Afterwards and I shudder to think of this part, she brushed out all my loose furs, now I have nothing to line the carpets and furniture with and now I smell all yucky and flowery. It took me ages and lots of rolling in stinky stuff to develop that unique crusty, cheesy dog smell and now it's all gone!

Another reason I am not to happy is England's 4-1 defeat against Germany. It seems football may be coming home, but not to England this time.

I hope you're enjoying the weather were you are and you're not having to suffer a bath!

Super Cat Saturday

Bionic Oscar

The above picture is of the brave Oscar, who lost both his hind legs when he was run over by and combine harvester whilst basking in the sun.

He underwent ground breaking surgery to help him walk with a pair of prosthetic paws.

It is believed that the success of Oscar's surgery could have implications in the world of human medical science. Mr Nola, Oscars bean said:

"Through our background reading, we were aware that this sort of procedure is cutting edge and also has an impact on human medicine."

So knowledge about the way that Oscar's been treated can be carried over to human treatment going forward"
Oscars Mum bean said:

"We had to do a lot of soul-searching and our main concern has always been whether this operation would be in Oscar's best interests and would give him a better quality of life."

Oscar is fine now and can walk, run and jump like any other cat.

Read his amazing story here and here.

We're sure you'll agree, what super cat!

Thurdsay In The Garden - With Charlie O'Marley and Thomas O'Toole

The weather has been extremely hot lately. Yesterday alone was 70 degrees Fahrenheit and they say today may even get into the 80s! For England that is HOT, which means that the garden parasol and garden furniture is getting a lot of use.

Being the rough, tough and brave mancats that we are it is very important that while the parasol and furniture are not in use, we guard them from any vicious introoders that would try to take them for themselves. As you can see, I have got the parasol covered.

And Thomas isn't going to let anyone snatch the furniture from under his nose.

Don't forget to check out what our fellow gardener kitties are up to. Have a great Thursday!

It takes someone truly mancatly to guard the catmint wheelbarrow from vicious introoders. They won't get past me!

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Care to join me for tea? Just don't wake the baby!

Thomas O'Toole x

Many of you asked what surprised me in last week's Wordless Wednesday Post. Picture the scene. I was settling down for a good old lick where the manbits used to be, when all of a sudden mum springs out from nowhere with that confounded flashy beast and snaps a picture. Can a mancat get no privacy?

Terrible Tale and Tummy Tuesday

My furiends, something truly terrible has happened! Words almost cannot describe what I have been through, but I will endeavor to do my best.

Mumma loves fevvers, in fact she has two of them in the house and she is always giving them smoochies and treats.

So I thought, what would make mumma happier then anything in the whole world? Then it hit me, another fevver!

I spent weeks honing my stalking skills and took my time selecting the right sort of fevver, I wanted it to be perfect.

No, too big

There, see me carefully selecting the perfect fevver?

Anyway, I eventually found the right sort of fevver and more importantly managed to catch it. I ran excitedly into the house to show mumma my gift and do you know what she did?

Did she shower me with praise and gratitude?

NO! No she did not.

She starting screaming and shouting at me and then the next thing she did was chase me out of the house! My furiends, I tell you, I was so shocked and scared that I dropped my fevver and ran away!

I don't know what happened to the fevver. I came back to look for it much much later, I sniffed all over the house but it was gone!

Worse of all mumma is not at all happy with me, I can't think why. Maybe the fevver was the wrong colour or size. Perhaps if I am extra cute and show mumma my smoochable belly, she will forgive me. What do you think?

**The mum here. Don't worry about the bird that Lola caught. She didn't injure it in anyway, except give it the fright of it's life. I managed to catch it and place it in a box which I put in a dark place until it had clamed down. I then took it across the road to my neighbour who keeps and breeds birds. He placed it in an empty aviary so it could recouperate and then released it. It was one very very lucky bird. I have since taken steps to avoid the same thing happening again**

I Am Not Amused Mancat Monday

See, not amused!

Why am I not amused you ask? Because dad has been making fun of my size again. He came across this comic strip in one of mum's cat magazines and said it was me.

Formerly Feral Friday in the Garden

I apologise for the delay in this post, this is due to staffing difficulties.

As some of you may know the Football or Soccer World Cup is well under way and we here at The Paw Relations like to show our support for our countries team, England.

Of course this calls for garden decorations!

We have St George's flags for our Catmint wheelbarrow

St George's flags for our troughs and pots.

And St George's flags for all of our hanging baskets. There is also a huge St George flag on the wall of our house, but mum didn't get a picture of that. I refer you back to the staffing difficulties.

After all that hard work snoopervising the decorating it's good to have a nice long bath in the grass. I am so happy to be formally feral, to have a garden to relax in and to be able to support my country during the world cup.

England will be playing against the USA on Saturday. Of course this leaves us with a bit of a quandary as we have so many pawsome friends from the states. so we have decided to cheer for both teams.

Finally Friday

Lola Fannola

Finally Friday and the weather man says it's going to be a hot one! So we will be spending much of the day snoozing in the shade and maybe hunting for grass monsters in the evening cool.

Daddy managed to over power the hissing spitting monster yesterday and even cleaned the patio with it. Unfortunately in doing so he also washed away all our lovely sniffy smells, so we will have to work hard over the coming weeks to get them back.

Many of our friends have asked us, what type of bird that is nesting in our tree. Mum wrote all about it and another visitor on her own blog.

Two Tin Toms Tuesday

These are the two tin toms that guard the front of the house. They're especially good at keeping the tin mice at bay. Since dad won't let mum have anymore real cats (and a good thing too, having to share with two siblings is quite enough, thank you) she fills the house and garden with fake ones.

These are our favourite. Because they're unbreakable, we don't get yelled at for going near them.
