Thankful Thursday

Today we're very thankful that Thomas O'Toole managed to find his way home to us. Above is a picture mum took of him on the morning he came home. As you can see he's lost a little bit of weight especially in his face. But we're sure he'll soon put it back on, what with all the special treats he's been getting lately.

Mmm maybe we should go missing.

Licking the pickle!

Now we're sending out a message to all the other kitties missing in action around the Blogosphere. Get home now, in time for Christmouse!

THOMAS O'TOOLE HAS COME HOME!

Last night, crying myself to sleep, I gave up hope of ever seeing Thomas again.

I was woken by a cat scratching at my bedroom door around 1:00am. Thinking it was Charlie I shooed the cat away and went to the bathroom. While I was sat on the loo, who I thought was Charlie was winding himself around my legs and purring like mad. My eldest daughter came out of her room to use the bathroom and 'Charlie' walked into her room. I reminded her to leave her door open so Charlie could get out and that's when she said those beautiful words. 'But it's Thomas!'

It was then I scooped him up into my arms and ran round the house screaming, 'IT'S THOMAS!'

My husband got up and double checked for me because I was convinced I was dreaming, but no, he confirmed it was indeed Thomas. We then all gave him a big group hug that displeased him somewhat but we were just so happy. None of us have slept as it's like Christmas come early.

Thomas is a little thinner and very very hungry and unusually for him very affectionate and purry. If only he could talk, I bet he would have a tail to tell.

Thank you again everyone for your support and advice. It helped to know people and cats where thinking of him.

To our good friends

We would like to say thank you for all the support, advice and information our goof friends have giving to us during our search for Thomas O'Toole. Mum will be doing everything you have recommended!

This morning mum telephoned our Local Authority to ask if there has been any deceased cats collected from the surrounding streets over the last few days. The lovely lady on the phone assured us that all deceased cats collected by the environmental health and street cleaning teams are taken straight to t local vet to be scanned for a microchip. Since Thomas is chipped it is good news that we haven't received that call yet. However she did take Thomas's details and promised to call back should she hear anything about a cat fitting his description.

So maybe that means that Thomas is still out there somewhere. But where?

Sad Saturday

Thomas O'Toole is still missing. He hasn't been home since 10pm November 26th and the weather out is bitterly cold.

Mum bean has been busy with her computer most of the morbning printing out hundreds of leaflets and loads of posters. She has phoned all the local vets and shelters and reported him as missing to the microchip data base. Mum bean is hoping to post more leaflets and put up more posters further a field tomorrow. But really all we can do it sit back and wait.

Please come home Thomas, we miss you!

Please Come Home Thomas O'Toole! (mummy is worried)

Mum bean here, Thomas O'Toole has been AWOL as of 10pm last night. Myself and the husband went to bed as usual at 10pm (I know, we have no life) and soon after we heard the sound of the cat flap going. A sure sign that Thomas had left the building.

When I got up this morning at 07:15 Charlie and Lola were waiting in the kitchen for their breakfast as usual and Thomas usually makes his appearance at around 07:30 - 08:00. No sign.

I know Thomas has several other houses that he frequents when he doesn't like what is on the menu at home and I am hoping he's camping out at one to punish me for giving him his flea tablet yesterday, but it is unusual for Thomas not to make an appearance at some point during the day, even if it's just to greet the dog. He is microchipped and has a collar and tag with all our details on.

I have called and called, walked the streets and rattled the cat biscuit box. Nothing. I am holding off calling the local vets and animal shelters as he hasn't really been missing that long in cat terms and I suppose also in the vain hope that if I don't and I stop worrying and panicking, he'll come strolling through the cat flap as if nothings a miss.

Please, please can we have some prayers and puurrs that Thomas comes home safe and sound or is simply shut in somewhere.

Thank you xxx
