We Apologise For The Disruption To Our Usual Services.

We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the lack commenting on our friends blogs.

Unfortunately, The Dad was rushed to hospital in an ambulance last Wednesday, suffering from severe abdominal pains.  It turns out he has a large kidney stone blocking his right kidney.  He underwent surgery to have a stent (a tube) inserted into his urethra in an effort to widen the stone's passage.  However if the stone has not moved by the end of this week he will be returning to hospital for further surgery.

As I'm sure you will all understand, The Dad is in a lot of pain and The Woman is doing her best not to strangle him, to look after him.

We have some fun post scheduled in the run up to Christmas, but we're unsure whether we will be able to comment much on other blogs.

Thank you

The Paw Relations x

  5. My husband gets kidney stones every 5 or 6 years. I'm sure they hurt, and I don't want to make light of his pain BUT it always bothers me when men equate it to giving birth. He's passed 4 stones, I've given birth to two 10 pound children. He was given morphine; I got a pep talk and was told to breathe. Also, he didn't have to feed his stones every three hours, nurse them through various illnesses or pay to send them to college. Just sayin . . . Hang in there!

  6. Well, do I know what you are going through.
Just had my stent taken out yesterday afternoon.
Had my third kidney surgery the week before.

If you have any questions, I'm the one to ask.
Been there and doing that. lol

Mom has medullary sponge kidneys, a condition where she is full of 100s of stones all day, every day! She is sooooo sorry for your Dad! Sending him healing purrs because it is even worse for men! 8. That's awful, kidney stones are really painful, I had a tiny one years ago and it was almost worse than having a baby (almost,...)
Hope your Dad manages to pass it without any assistance.

  9. Ouch! That must be awful for your male human! I'm sending purrs his way... I heard a rumor that purr vibrations help these stones dissolve. Well, even if it doesn't work, it can't hurt, right?
